The Tilenga project is divided into the upstream facilities and Enabling Infrastructure (EI) which are intended to enable the performance of construction works of the Upstream facilities. EI Package (1) entails Site preparation of the Industrial Area located at Kasenyi including its direct access road, earthworks, drainage and temporary fencing.
TOTAL Energies contracted MEIR Engineering and Research Ltd to undertake detailed hydrological studies and design a retention pond system for flood protection of the planned Tilenga Industrial Area that was affected by flooding.
MEIR carried out detailed hydrological studies, review and modelling of the existing and planned drainage system and undertook detailed design of the proposed flood protection infrastructure.
